Maritime Technology Cluster FVG (MareFVG)
Is a no-profit public-private consortium of maritime stakeholders established in the region Friuli-Venezia Giulia and acknowledged by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR) in 2012. Actually the membership includes different stakeholders from maritime sector: big enterprises, SME, universities, research centres, scientific parks and incubators, education organisation, port authority, chamber of commerce, industrial enterprise’s aggregation and maritime technics association.
Italian Business Angels Association (IBAN)
Is an association focused on the development and the growth of the Business Angels phenomena in Italy. IBAN’s members are business angels networks, investors clubs, business angels and professionals in matching investors (formal and informal) with entrepreneurs. In addition, IBAN has links with the Italian Venture Capital Association (AIFI) and local and national associations of entrepreneurs. In particularly, IBAN includes more than 130 members.
Maritime Cluster of Andalusia (CMMA)
It aims to promote the Andalusian maritime sector, as well as defending its interests and developing the creation of a suitable legal framework for the development of this industry in Andalusia, Spain and the rest of the world. It follows the quadruple helix model, bringing together in the same cluster universities, organizations, public sector and society. The CMMA is made up of innovative institutions from different maritime subsectors with a high technological qualification such as fishing, aquaculture, shipbuilding, maritime transport, recreational boating, maritime research and training, ports and port activities, maritime extraction industries, maritime tourism and underwater archaeology.
Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH)
CERTH is a leading research centre in Greece as well as in Europe (listed among the top 20 EU institutions with the highest participation in competitive research grants) conducting specialized basic and applied research and offering high quality services in several fields. It is a non-profit private status legal entity supervised by the General Secretariat for Research and Technology (GSRT) of the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs. HIT is one of CERTH’s five Institutes, devoted to the promotion and execution of transport research in Greece and beyond. Its main mission is to provide state-of-the-art research and create innovation in the field of transport at a national, European and international level covering issues relating to the operation, planning and development of infrastructure; standardization; socio-economic and environmental analysis; vehicle / vessel technology; impact assessment of land, maritime, air, and multimodal transport services; training and education activities in related fields.
International Centre for Sustainable Development of Energy, Water and Environment Systems (SDEWES)
The International Centre for Sustainable Development of Energy, Wager and Environment Systems (SDEWES) is a non-government and a non-profit, scientific, research, development and innovation organization. The main objective and purpose of the establishment of the SDEWES Centre is development of unique research platform capable to form various international and multidisciplinary research and development innovation teams that will provide comprehensive R&D activities, assessment and consultation on the research subjects that represent the most important challenges of sustainable development.
Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT)
The Arab academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) is a composed of number of colleges, graduate schools, sectors, research institutes and training centres. The AASTMT is a world class university in Maritime Transport and Higher Education and contributes to the social and economic development of the Arab region by offering distinguished Change Agents who have been qualified through comprehensive educational programmes, high calibre faculty, centres of excellence in research, training and consultancies.

The University of Udine is an Italian Public University founded in 1978 by National Law, it has more than 15,000 students, 650 researchers and 524 technical and administrative staff. Scientific research is performed by 8 Departments and 9 Research centres. UNIUD has a long experience in the European projects as academic partner responsible of the scientific research. The Department of Engineering and Architecture, specifically the Laboratory of Management Engineering has the following competence: co-financed project management, business model and sectorial analysis, data collection and models collection.
